Company Maintenance - Local
This is where all particular and specific site-related settings are
managed. Data contained in this section may include tax calculation
settings, or required information to generate local government
reports.
To gain access to this module:
- Go to Maintenance. Click on Company. Company Code will be
grayed out in case the user has access to only one "company" or the
session is restricted to only one company code. If user has access
to multiple company codes, he will have to select the desired
company from the provided drop down menu.
- Click on LookUp company to go directly to company record.
- System will take user to the General module. Click on Local tab
located on the upper right to go to the Local module.
Company Maintenance Local sections: The names of each
section and field included within this module will vary from
country to country. IPS administrators may customize this module
upon user request to fit the local site requirements.
The following list mentions some examples of section names and the
corresponding fields contained in each section.

- Pay Slip Information - Common data stored in this section
includes:
- Pay Slip message for open pay periods: Enter a message to
indicate user that pay slip data is not definitive, and that pay
amounts or deductions may change after running Payroll
Process.
- Pay Slip message for closed pay periods: Enter a message to
indicate that payroll has been closed and pay slip data is
final.
- Probation Period Settings - User may set parameters to manage
employee probation periods.
- Allow Probation Period Functionality. Click on this checkbox to
activate this system feature. Once activated, the employee
probation period information can be managed by clicking on a
checkbox which appears under the Comp
& Review section.
- Set probation period duration days. Enter the number of days
which company has determined for employee probation periods.
- Set probation period advance notification. The system will send
a notification via email to the employee supervisor, so he can be
aware that the probation period end is near. Logically, this value
cannot be greater than the one entered in probation period
duration.
For example, enter 5 so the system sends the email notification
five days before the end of probation period. The email message
will include a list containing employee WIN, name and Probation
Period end date.
- Set last notification warning days before. The system will send
one last notification about the employee probation period end.
Obviously, this value cannot be greater than the one entered in
probation period advance notification.
- Disciplinary Action Settings -

- Set number of months before warning expiration - The number
entered will indicate when the employees disciplinary actions will
expire. Expired actions are shown in red in Disciplinary History
(See Disciplinary
Actions).
- Set maximum number of warnings allowed in calendar month - When
user clicks on this checkbox, both of the following fields will
become editable, and will allow user to enter the desired number in
each one of them:
