Disciplinary Reasons
A Disciplinary Reason is defined as a specific situation where
employee behavior did not meet company management expectations, and
could lead to a sanction.
IPS users form the HR staff may use the Disciplinary Reasons to
add, change, list or delete company Disciplinary Reasons.
Adding a new Disciplinary Reason:
- Go to Maintenance, select System Settings / Disciplinary
Tables, and click on Disciplinary Reasons.
- Complete the following fields:

- Disciplinary Reason: Enter a code or abbreviation to identify
particular disciplinary reason. Field allows up to 12
characters.
- Description: Enter a sentence or paragraph to reflect the
specific situation which is considered as a disciplinary reason
according to company local policies. Field allows up to 50
characters.
- Local Description: Enter description in local site
language.
- Type of Offense: User must select one of two options:

- Minor - For offenses that may not require an immediate action,
but need to be taken seriously.
- Major - For severe offenses that could lead to harder
sanctions.
- Click on Submit. Disciplinary Reason will now be stored in a
system table, and will appear in the Disciplinary Actions
module.
In addition, user may click on any of the links provided to perform
the following actions:
- Change - To make modifications to an existing record.
- Search - To lookup a specific record.
- List - To view a list of all existing Disciplinary Reasons in
that particular site (company code).
