Set Company For Session

For IPS users with access to ALL, or multiple company codes, this system feature offers a tool to restrict session to only one or several specific companies. Limiting session to one or a few company codes can make session more efficient since the system performance improves when handling a lesser volume of data.
  1. Go to Maintenance and click on Set Company For Session.
  2. Select a company code from drop down menu. User may also select more than one company by pressing and holding the Ctrl key and using the mouse to click on the desired company at the same time.
  3. Click on Change.

When user session is set for up to six different companies, the system will display the sites' company codes in alphabetical order on the top right portion of the screen along with the corresponding country flags.
If session is set for seven or more companies, then the system will only display "Companies: Multiple".
Users whose session is set to all existing IPS company codes will see display "Companies: ALL".

IPS user may also change session settings in a different and easier way:
  1. Click on the word ALL, or Multiple next to Companies. A new window will pop up showing the user all company codes that are within his access privileges.
  2. Select desired company (or companies) by clicking on the checkbox next to each company code.
  3. Click on "Check All" or "Uncheck All" to select or not select all companies.
  4. Click on Change once all desired company codes have been selected.
  5. User session information will appear on the top right portion of the screen as described before.
