SQL Audit Report
SQL Audit is a tool which has been designed to keep track of
changes in employee records over a given period of time. This
system feature is only available for users with appropriate access
level.
All transactions (changes) are registered regardless if they were
made through the user interface or not.
To obtain an SQL Audit report:
- Go to Management and click on SQL Audit Report.
- Set report parameters based on these filters:
- Transaction Dates range. Drop-down menu includes the following
options:
- Year to Date
- This Week
- Last Week
- This Pay Period
- Last Pay Period
- This Month
- Custom. Use display calendar to set a specific date range.
- Closed Pay Periods. User must enter an Employee Id first before
selecting this option. Drop-down menu in Transaction Dates will
automatically list all closed pay periods in the company where
employee is located.
- Audit Action. User may leave 'All' in order to obtain a report
of every single action which had occured during the selected
period, or choose one of following actions:
- INSERT - To view data which has been added in the system.
- UPDATE - To View data which has been changed or modified.
- DELETE - To view data which has been eliminated.
- User Id: Enter the WIN of any particular user to see a detailed
list of his/her activity in the system. Leave filter blank to
obtain a report of the activity of all users within the company
code in session.
- Employee Id: Enter the WIN of any particular individual to view
a report of changes or updates made to that employee record.
- Column Name: The Drop-down menu includes all existing fields in
employee records. Leave filter blank so the report includes every
change made regardless of which data had been modified. Select a
specific option to see only the changes in data contained in that
particular field.
Please keep in mind that IPS is an international system, and the
way employee data is handled can be very different from one country
to another. In consequence, some fields listed under Column Name
may only be relevant for users from a certain company (or
companies).
- Value to Find: Enter a Cost Center number, a Location Name, or
any specific value from a certain field, to the report includes
only the actions where that value was found. Leave filter blank so
the report includes all values.
- Click on the 'Send Me a Spreadsheet' checkbox to receive report
vial email. Make sure the correct email address is entered in the
corresponding box.
- Click on Submit to view/receive report.
NOTE:If desired reports must include ALL users and employees
within the company, then it is recommended that they are filtered
by a short specific range of dates.
The system will work best when handling moderate volumes of
data.
