Reset/Unlock User Password
Any IPS user who is a member of the Human Resources staff may have
enough privileges to reset IPS user accounts.
In case a local operations user (manager, supervisor, assistant,
operator) forgets his login password, he may request it to be
reset.
Resetting an IPS user password:
- Go to Management. Select Reset User Password.
- Enter User Id (depending on the company, it could be IPS
Employee Id, WIN ID or Employee Name).
- Click on Verify Employee to make sure the correct employee
account will be reset.
- Clicking on the Force UnLock Key to be Updated checkbox will
make the user having to go through the UnLock Key setting process
when logging in again.
- Click on Reset Password. The following message will appear:
"Password has been reset for User Id
XXXXXXXX.
New password will be sent to the user's registered email
address."
It is recommended to copy this message, paste it into an e-mail and
send it to the user to inform him his IPS user password has been
reset.
As stated in the message, the new password will be sent in a
separate email.
