Field Descriptions
For IPS Administrator use only.
The Global
Updates feature offers users a tool to make multiple employee
record changes at the same time by uploading a previously completed
spreadsheet. When users click on the 'View Valid Fields details'
link, they are presented with a new window where all field
descriptions -or definitions- are provided.
The Field Descriptions module is where the System Administrator can
manage all the information contained in those concepts.
- Go to Maintenance menu, select System Catalogues, and click on
Field Descriptions.
- Double click on desired line to select a Description from menu.
Use the paging buttons to search for more existing
Descriptions.
- Enter/edit description as necessary:
- Module: GLB for Global Updates.
- Field Name: It is the field name as it is seen in the users
interface.
- Country Codes Allowed: Leave 'All' to indicate field is used in
every existing company code in IPS.
- Description: This information is what the system user sees when
reviewing the
